Chairman’s Column

From the Citrus County Veterans Coalition, a big thank-you to our vendors and volunteer workers in our monthly yard sale.  We have had a successful year so far and you can be complimented on the fact you have helped feed many veterans and their families.  Do not forget that we start up again with our monthly yard sales the second Saturday in September (Sept. 13, 2014).

Although there are many programs, (scholarships, aid to vets and minor home repairs), in which we participate, our main focus is to provide food for our veterans and their families.  

At this time, we can use help in the food pantry.  Our volunteers who are working are so reliable, however, they need some relief at times.  If you would like to help at the food bank, please contact our Food Bank Chair, Gary Williamson at 527-4537.  He’ll be very glad to have your help!

We must never forget what we are all about, "Veterans Helping Veterans" and with the help of groups like the Kings Bay Rotary Club we can do more.  

We are always looking for new members, and encourage those who are members to check your cards and make sure you are up to date with your dues.  Our dues are $10.00 per year or three years for $25.00.  If you are not a member, please go to the Membership page on this web site to print out your application form, fill it out and send it in with your check.
